Budgam,Mar 24: A one day seminar was organised on the life and thought of Shah-i-Hamdan here in Budgam district on Sunday where in scholars and intellectuals discussed the spiritual thought of the saint.
The seminar was organised by RAZA-E-MUSTAFA FOUNDATION in town hall Budgam.
Galaxy of intellectuals, scholars and presented their research papers on the occasion.
Notable Islamic scholars like Dr Muhammad Maroof Shah, Maulana Showkat Hussain Keing, Dr Showkat Hussain, Mufti Ishaq Nazki, Dr Shahida Akhter Owaisi, Sartaj Ahmad Sofi, Muhammad Shafi Rather,Ajaz Ahmad Banday presented their papers illuminating different aspects of Hazrat Shahi Hamadan's life .
The spiritual, political and social dimensions of his personality were brought to light.
It was pointed out by the scholars that more than 150 books of Hazrat Shahi Hamadan (RA) are yet to be translated in Urdu and English languages and it was suggested that different literary and religious institutions should facilitate to translate his works so that the spiritual legacy is properly forwarded to the new generation.
Two books authored by Mir Imtiyaz Aafreen, Kitab-ul-Zakat and Naqsh-e-Wafa were also released on the occasion. The research papers read in the seminar will be published seperately for the benefit of the people.
