Second phase of Randomization of poll staff held in Bandipora
BANDIPORA, MARCH 30: The second phase of randomization of polling staff and the supplementary randomization of EVMs for Gurez was held on Saturday under the supervision of General Observer for Bandipora district , Sandeep Pondrik and District Election Officer Bandipora, Shahbaz Mirza.
During the randomization, polling parties were created for 312 polling stations with 25 percent reserve staff. District Informatics Officer NIC Bandipora, Mohsin Mujtaba said that 1560 employees have been deputed for elections in the district.
Meanwhile, the first supplementary randomization of EVMs for Gurez segment was also done and extra EVMs have been kept reserve for Gurez valley owing to hostile connectivity.
Earlier officers briefed the representatives of political parties about the allocation of EVMs, Ballot Units & Control Units.
On the occasion the DEO directed the officers associated with the elections to work with utmost dedication and devotion for successful completion of polls. He assured the participants that all necessary arrangements have been put in place for ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in the district.
Later the observer inspected the Media Cell of Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) where its members monitor advertisements and other propaganda material of candidates and political parties. He also visited Election Control Room and Election Cell and inspected the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of the elections.
