‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’: BJP Vows Deeper Outreach, Green Drive in Kashmir
Srinagar, June 3: As part of its nationwide outreach to commemorate 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s transformative leadership, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu & Kashmir held a crucial meeting under the ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ campaign at Church Lane in Srinagar on Tuesday.
The meeting was led by BJP National General Secretary and J&K Prabhari Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma, General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, and Deputy Leader of Opposition (LOP) Surjeet Singh Slathia. Prominent leaders including Dr. Ali, former MLC Shehnaz Ganai, Altaf Thakur, and Arif Raja were also in attendance, along with District Presidents, senior office bearers, and members of both state and district units.
Reaffirming the party’s commitment to good governance and inclusive development, Tarun Chugh lauded the dedication of the BJP cadre in Jammu & Kashmir and stressed the importance of deeper grassroots outreach. “Under PM Modi’s leadership, J&K has undergone a historic shift—from dynastic politics and corruption to an era defined by transparency, peace, and unprecedented development,” he said.
Chugh also urged party workers to incorporate environmental sustainability into their campaign efforts, calling for plantation drives, water conservation efforts, and reduction in plastic use as part of BJP’s broader vision for a cleaner and greener future.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma praised the unwavering commitment of party workers and highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a testament to India’s growing strategic and security capabilities. He emphasized the importance of intensifying local-level engagement to ensure that central welfare schemes reach every household in the Valley.
Ashok Koul presented the future roadmap under the Sankalp Se Siddhi initiative, encouraging district units to organize Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabhas, Choupals, and professional meets across Jammu and Kashmir. He also emphasized the need for robust public communication to counter misinformation and raise awareness about government initiatives.
Deputy LOP Surjeet Singh Slathia called on party cadres to actively observe International Yoga Day at the grassroots level and to commemorate June 25 as Black Day, in remembrance of the Emergency imposed during the Congress regime—highlighting the importance of safeguarding democratic values.
