Sopore, Sep 29: Some rusted rounds were recovered on Tuesday during drainage clearance work in the Bomai area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
The rounds were found by workers of the Jal Shakti Department (JCP) while carrying out drainage clearance work at Latishot in Bomai, they said.
Soon after the recovery, a police team from Bomai police station rushed to the spot and took the rusted rounds into its custody for further necessary action.
Police said the recovered material has been sent for examination, and further investigation into the circumstances surrounding its recovery is underway.
