Residential house gutted in fire mishap in Bandipora

People appealed Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to provide immediate relief to affected family

Bandipora, 07 Feb: A double-storey residential house was gutted and property worth lakhs of rupees was reduced to ashes in a fire incident in Chitteybandy village of Bandipora district in north Kashmir.

Witnesses said that fire engulfed a double-storied residential house of Khursheed Ahmad Ganie Son of Gh Mohd. Ganie Resident of Chitteybandy Bandipora. “The house was completely reduced to ashes and goods worth lakhs of rupees damaged”

They said that around 3:00 am on monday, a major fire broke out from the residential house of carpenter which engulfed the entire house in jiffy and goods worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes despite immediate fire fighting operation by locals who were later joined by fire servicemen.

People have appealed the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to provide immediate relief to affected family as the family is poor and have no substantial source of income.
