Registration of Army recruitment rally witnesses astounding response
Srinagar, May 18, CNS: Indian Army has received an astounding response for registration in various categories for upcoming recruitment rally to be held in Badipora soon.
A communiqué from Chinar Media Heart to CNS on Monday said that for the upcoming Army Recruiting Office, Srinagar recruitment rally to be held at Sonarwani Bandipora (J&K) covering districts Bandipora, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag and Kulgam the response from the youth of the Valley has been very encouraging. The registrations were opened for all categories i.e Soldier General Duty (GD), Soldier Tradesmen (8th and 10th), Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical/Inventory Management (Clk/SKT/IM), Soldier Technical and Soldier Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant Veterinary.
It said that the registration efforts were supplemented by the various Army Camps across the Valley for facilitating desirous youth to come forth and register. At many places registration facilities were setup with Army personnel providing guidance to the aspirants to successfully register themselves. The registration was conducted between 28 Mar 2020 and 11 May 2020. In the short time despite there being preventive measures of lockdown due to COVID-19, a total of 9260 candidates have successfully registered.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 and associated difficulties in travel and precautionary measures in place, the recruitment rally has been postponed from the earlier stated dates. Fresh dates will be intimated later. For the candidates who have already registered for this recruitment rally, their registration will stand and will not be affected, said the communiqué.
Selected candidates will not only get a lifetime opportunity to serve in various arms and services of the Army but will also be able to serve the Nation with honour and dignity, the communiqué added.
