RECPDCL Hands Over Rajgarh–Neemuch Transmission SPV to G R Infraprojects Limited

New Delhi, Sept 29: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited under the Ministry of Power, handed over the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the Rajgarh–Neemuch Power Transmission Project to M/s G R Infraprojects Limited.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, an official spokesperson said the project, developed under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route, will be implemented on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis.

M/s G R Infraprojects Limited emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through the TBCB process coordinated by RECPDCL. The handover was formally done by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, to Sh. Saurabh Kaushik, Business Head – Power T&D of G R Infraprojects Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, G R Infraprojects, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.

The project, with a 24-month implementation timeline, includes the establishment of a 2×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Handiya, approximately 650 km of 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines, augmentation at Pachora and Neemuch power stations, and installation of line bays and bus reactors.
