Pulwama shuts to mourn the killings of two militants
Pulwama, Feb 1: A complete shutdown was observed in South Kashmir’s Pulwama town on Friday to mourn the killing of two militants.
According to reports all shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town while traffic also remained off the roads. Heavy deployment remained on various spots across the Pulwama town and some other areas to thwart any attempts of protests.
Two Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militants identified as Shahid Baba of Drabgam and Anayat Abdullah of Arihal were killed in a gunfight with forces at Drabgam.
Mobile internet services in the district remained suspended to block the information about the encounter incident.
