Pulwama, April 02: District Pulwama delivered an impressive performance at the 15th UT Level Tennisball Cricket Championship 2026 for Men and Women, held at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Ground Bijbehara in Anantnag district, by clinching top honours in junior categories and earning a podium finish in the senior section, officials told Kashmir Convener.
The district emerged as champion in both Junior Boys (U-19) and Junior Girls (U-19) categories, underlining its strong presence and dominance at the junior level in the Union Territory championship.
Adding to its success, Pulwama also secured third place in the Senior Men category, competing against strong teams from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The players from Pulwama were widely appreciated for their outstanding talent, determination, discipline and teamwork, which played a key role in the district’s notable achievement at the championship.
Officials, coaches, managers and the General Secretary of District Pulwama Tennis Ball Cricket Association congratulated the winning teams and lauded the efforts of all players for their commitment and consistent performance throughout the tournament.
They expressed confidence that the players from Pulwama would continue to perform well in upcoming competitions and bring more laurels to the district.
The achievement is being seen as a reflection of the collective hard work of players, coaches and support staff, and is expected to inspire many young cricketers in Pulwama to take up the sport with greater passion and dedication.
