Pulwama Police Recover Contraband from a Senior Citizen in Litter, Case Registered

PULWAMA, April 10: Demonstrating prompt response on actionable intelligence, Pulwama Police carried out a successful operation in the Litter area, leading to the recovery of contraband substance.

Police Station Litter received reliable information regarding concealment of narcotic substance at a residential house in Batapora Naina. Acting on this input, a police team was immediately constituted and dispatched to the location. During the search operation, conducted as per established procedures, a substance resembling Charas powder weighing approximately 417.5 grams, which was seized on the spot, was recovered from the residence of one Ab Rashid Mir, son of Ali Mohammad Mir.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 39/2026 under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Litter and investigation has been initiated.

Pulwama Police continues its efforts to curb drug-related activities and appeals to the public to extend cooperation by sharing any information related to such unlawful practices.
