Press Club of Kashmir pays glowing tributes to veteran journalist Tariq Bhat
SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 04 : The Press Club of Kashmir (PCK) today held a condolence meeting under its president Mohammad Saleem Pandit over the untimely demise of senior journalist Tariq Ahmad Bhat who was working as the Bureau Chief of ‘The Week of Kerala’. The PCK expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
“Late Tariq Bhat passed away at a young age due to sudden cardiac arrest. He began his journalism career in 1993 and worked with several newspapers. He was a steadfast believer in the oneness of Allah Almighty and followed the path of Tawheed in both letter and spirit,” said the PCK president, Mohammad Saleem Pandit.
The executive body also prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
Meanwhile, the President PCK recalled his association with late Tariq Bhat in the former’s weekly periodical “Submission” in 1993. He said the deceased was humble, a gentleman to the core and an overall person. He would never jump into the controversies of the journalistic hostilities.
“May Allah Almighty grant him the highest place in Jannat and grant the bereaved family patience to bear this huge loss,” prayed the members of the club in the condolence meeting.
