Police File Challan Against 40 for Allegedly Crossing Border, Joining Anti-National Activities
Pulwama, Dec 13: Awantipora Police have presented a challan before the Court of competent jurisdiction in connection with FIR No. 86/2025, registered under Sections 2 and 3 of the Enemy Infiltration and Movement Control Ordinance (EIMCO), against 40 accused persons allegedly involved in anti-national activities.
According to police, the accused persons are alleged to have crossed the border illegally into Pakistan for arms training and did not return thereafter. Following a sustained investigation, the case was found fit for judicial proceedings.
The investigation was conducted by the Station House Officer of Police Station Awantipora under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer Awantipora. Police said all required legal formalities were completed before submitting the challan to the court.
Officials stated that the filing of the challan marks a significant step in the legal process and reflects the commitment of law enforcement agencies to act against individuals allegedly involved in activities threatening public order and national security. [KNT]
