PM Shri GSS Laharwalpora Observes World Book Day with Literary Awareness Session

Bandipora, April 23: PM Shiri Government Secondary School Laharwalpora in Bandipora observed World Book Day on Wednesday with an awareness and interaction session aimed at promoting reading and writing habits among students.

The programme featured a telephonic address by scholar and author Dr. Maroof Shah, who spoke about the importance of reading books and maintaining a daily diary for intellectual and personal development.

During his interaction, Dr. Shah encouraged students to adopt reading as a regular habit and highlighted the role of books in expanding knowledge and understanding. He also advised students to engage in daily writing exercises to improve reflection, creativity and analytical thinking.

According to organisers, the session focused on encouraging students to view reading and writing as tools for learning and self-development beyond academic requirements.

Head of the Institution, Javaid Jawad, introduced the guest speaker and spoke about his literary and intellectual contributions.

Teachers and students participated in the programme, which concluded with discussions on the significance of books and the value of continuous learning.

School authorities said the event was organised as part of activities marking World Book Day and aimed at promoting literary awareness among students.
