PAMPORE, November 28: An elderly man lost his life in a road accident in the Khrew area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama on Friday evening.
Officials told Kashmir Convener, a truck bearing registration number JK05C- 0676, driven by Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Aziz Lone, resident of Zantrag Khrew, hit a pedestrian identified as Ghulam Mohammad Mir (65), son of Abdul Aziz Mir, resident of Ismail Colony Satpakhren, Khrew.
The injured man was immediately shifted to PHC Khrew, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation.
