PDUNASS Director Inaugurates NLU Phase of Training for DR EO-AO 2025 Batch,

Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Dec 1: Kumar Rohit, Director of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS), inaugurated the four-week National Law University (NLU) phase of the six-month Induction Training Programme for Direct Recruit Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers (DR EO-AO) of the 2025 batch at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU).
The ceremony was attended by Prof. (Dr.) S. Shanthakumar, Director GNLU; Shri Sudeepta Ghosh, Additional PF Commissioner, Gujarat Zone; and Dr. Nitin Malik, Registrar, GNLU.
Speaking to the probationary officers, Shri Rohit urged them to look beyond conventional enforcement roles and position themselves as catalysts of positive change contributing to the Government of India’s vision of ease of living and ease of doing business.
He highlighted that the four newly notified Labour Codes—consolidating 29 central labour laws—and the three new criminal laws, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), have ushered in a transformative era in India’s regulatory and compliance ecosystem.
“These reforms mark a paradigm shift in how labour relations and enforcement frameworks will evolve in the coming decades,” he said, adding that the GNLU training phase provides a unique platform for the officers to build a structured and forward-looking understanding of these landmark changes.
Rohit also held discussions with Prof. Shanthakumar and senior faculty members on launching a three-month Certificate Programme in Labour Law and Social Security in collaboration with GNLU.
The proposed programme is aimed at HR managers, compliance professionals and labour law practitioners, and is intended to address a long-standing national gap in contemporary and practical labour law education.
The planned certificate course will feature an updated curriculum aligned with the Labour Codes and new criminal laws, along with hands-on exposure to real-world compliance scenarios. Officials said the programme would help enhance organisational readiness, strengthen legal risk management and improve engagement with regulatory bodies.
Officials said By combining GNLU’s academic expertise with the field experience of EPFO officers and the training infrastructure of PDUNASS, the proposed certification is expected to emerge as one of the most sought-after professional programmes in labour law and social security.
With rapid reforms reshaping India’s statutory landscape and industry expectations evolving accordingly, the initiative is seen as a timely and transformative step for capacity-building among HR leaders, compliance heads and social security administrators across the country.
