SRINAGAR, Oct 28: The Tourism Department has clarified that there is no active project or approved proposal to install a “Light and Sound Show” in the Gurez valley of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The department clarified in a written response to MLA Gurez Nazir Ahmad Khan during the ongoing Autumn Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
The document of which a copy lies with Kashmir Convener reads, While confirming that no such proposal has been formulated or approved, the Department acknowledged the initiative’s potential to boost tourism. It further stated that it will explore the feasibility of undertaking a similar project in the future to enhance the region’s visitor appeal.
