Bandipora, July 19: Senior National Conference (NC) leader from Bandipora, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, has urged the government to ensure proper arrangements ahead of the Muharam-ul-Haram especially in Shia dominated areas of Bandipora district.
In a statement issued to the Kashmir Convener, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad emphasized the significance of the upcoming religious event and urged the administration to put in place all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for the devotees.
Dr Zahoor urged the district administration to ensure proper arrangements to the people in Sumbal Sub Division and also urged them to take special care of the arrangements for the residents of Wuddar Colony Bandipora being shia dominated locality of the town.
He urged the government to provide a special quota of ration including sugar to the residents of this small locality
Dr. Zahoor Ahmad called upon the concerned authorities to review and finalize preparations in the areas where the event holds particular importance.
He stressed the need for the administration to provide uninterrupted water and power supply in and around the religious gathering venues.
Highlighting the importance of community welfare, Dr. Ahmad called for the deployment of additional water tankers, especially in areas with a significant Shia population, to cater to the needs of the devotees.
He further emphasized the necessity of ensuring the availability of essential commodities and cooking LPG, and requested the government to provide an additional ration quota to support the devotees during the religious observance.
Dr. Zahoor Ahmad also urged the community members and authorities to work together in maintaining a peaceful and harmonious environment during the event.
As a senior leader of the National Conference, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad's call for adequate arrangements aims to ensure that the religious observance is observed with full religious fervor and sanctity, providing devotees with a conducive environment for their prayers and reflections.
