Bandipora, July 19: Student Leader and National Spokesperson of J&K Students Association Nasir Khuehami here today extended greetings of Eid-ul-Azha to the people and prayed for the peace and tranquillity in the UT.
Urging the people to celebrate Eid with simplicity, Khuehami said that Allah commands us to be not amongst those who indulge in extravagance, which he dislikes. He wished the people peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and hoped that this occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity.
Khuehami underlined the need of remembering economically downtrodden and underprivileged people in the J&K UT on the occasion. He said celebrating Eid teaches us friendship, mutual respect and love for the masses. He appealed to people to remember their neighbours, orphans and the needy during Eid celebrations.
