Bandipora, 18 May: Government Higher Secondary School Chuntimullah Wednesday organized an awareness rally from the School to the adopted village Chuntimullah.
This rally was organized under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative of Government of India and was flagged off by Principal, Nasir Hussian Peerzada.
While addressing the students and staff, Principal HSS Chuntimullah gives detailed picture of drug menace and its abuses.
Principal HSS Chuntimullah applauded the efforts of students and staff to spread awareness among public in general and students in particular.
Around 70 students participated in the rally carrying posters and playcards with messages urging the public to refrain themselves from tobacco/drug use.
Students also raised slogans to make people aware about drug menace. Later, Zahoor Ahamd Senior Lecturer Political Science also organized painting competition under same banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and students express their fight against this drug menace by depicting different pictures and images to aware the masses to refrain from any drug addiction. Early morning during Assembly Harmokh House in-charge Shaheen Iqbal also highlighted drug abuse curse and its effects on social fabric. A programme was conducted at the conference Hall of HSS Chuntimullah which was anchored by Ijaz Ahmad Dar Pem HSS Chuntimullah in which local Jammai Masjid Imam Mufti Zahoor Ahamd” was invited to address the students on ill effects of drug abuse and its religious perspective.
