Naam Foundation, Nirmala Gajanan Foundation Donate Two Ambulances to Uri Administration

Uri, July 24: In a significant boost to emergency healthcare services in Jammu and Kashmir’s border areas, Naam Foundation and Nirmala Gajanan Foundation on Friday donated two ambulances to the Civil Administration in Uri to improve access to timely medical care for residents living along the Line of Control.

The initiative was facilitated through the coordination of the Indian Army.

The ambulances were formally handed over by Mr. Manzoor, representing the two foundations, to Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri, Prince Kumar, in the presence of Army officials and the Block Medical Officer (BMO), Uri.

Speaking on the occasion, a spokesperson for Naam Foundation said the ambulances would help save lives by ensuring faster access to emergency medical services for people residing in remote border areas.

The Civil Administration expressed gratitude to Naam Foundation, Nirmala Gajanan Foundation and the Indian Army for the humanitarian initiative, assuring that the ambulances would be deployed effectively to strengthen emergency healthcare services and benefit the local population.

The handover ceremony was attended by Commander, Kalapahar Brigade, Brigadier Nithin Kuttapa, the Commanding Officer of Kaathi Battalion, along with senior civil, Army and health officials of Uri Tehsil.
