Bandipora, Jan 18: As a part of the road safety month, Motor Vehicles Department Bandipora today observed a pledge ceremony at Bus Stand Nusso with the aim to promote a sense of responsible driving and ethical conduct of transport business.
Hundreds of the transporters along with the drivers took pledge and resolved for the strict adherence of traffic rules and regulations to prioritise safety of the passengers and commuters.
Selfi points were erected by the Motor vehicles Department to boost the public outreach of traffic rules on social media platforms. Overwhelming response from the locals and transporters portrayed a commitment for responsible road behaviour.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer Bandipora Bilal Ahmad Mir expressed gratitude for public participation. He said that the department is going to organise awareness generative programmes on multiple fronts for the maximum safety of the greatest number.
