Kupwara, March 27: The Regional Passport Office Srinagar under the Ministry of External Affairs will conduct a two-day special passport service drive in Kupwara from April 9 to 10, deploying a Mobile Passport Van to facilitate doorstep services in the district.
In a statement issued on March 27, the office said the initiative is part of the Passport Seva Project, aimed at improving accessibility, efficiency and transparency in passport delivery, particularly in remote and far-flung areas under the jurisdiction of the Srinagar office.
Regional Passport Officer B. S. Rawat said the deployment of the Mobile Passport Van in Kupwara is intended to extend passport services to underserved regions and ensure timely access to documentation for residents irrespective of their location.
The Mobile Passport Van will be stationed at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Park in Kupwara on both days. While scheduling, applicants are required to select “Passport Van” as the service option and choose a slot for April 9 or 10.
Officials advised applicants to report to the designated location at their scheduled time. On-site assistance and procedural support will be available through the Mobile Passport Van team.
