Bandipora, April 17: The Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sonawari Constituency of Bandipora District, Hilal Akbar Lone, today visited the fire-affected families of SK Payeen, following a devastating fire that left several houses damaged.
The MLA was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani, Tehsildar Hajin, Abdul Wasee Deva and other concerned.
During the visit, the MLA met with the affected families, expressed his deep concern over the tragic incident, and extended heartfelt sympathies to the victims.
To provide immediate relief, a preliminary round of interim aid, including essential supplies and financial assistance, was distributed on the spot to help families cope with urgent needs.
While interacting with the victims and local residents, MLA Hilal Akbar Lone assured that all possible measures will be taken to support rehabilitation efforts. He emphasized that he is in constant touch with concerned authorities to ensure comprehensive aid, including proper compensation, housing support, and other essentials, reaches the affected families without delay.
On the occasion, the MLA directed local authorities to expedite the damage assessment and initiate necessary procedures to facilitate long-term relief and recovery.
