MLA Pampore Hasnain Masoodi Reviews Progress of New Water Supply Scheme for Pampore Town

PAMPORE, November 26: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pampore, Justice Hasnain Masoodi on Wednesday reviewed the progress of the new water supply scheme being developed for Pampore town at a sanctioned cost of Rs 531.47 lakh under the AMRUT 2.0 (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) programme. The project aims at strengthening the basic public infrastructure in the constituency.
The scheme is expected to ensure safe and clean drinking water to several localities including Dhobi Mohalla, Sir Syed Colony, Tulbagh, Drangbal, Litterbal, Doninar, Kadlabal, Frestabal, Tanchibagh and other adjoining areas of Saffron Town Pampore, officials told Kashmir Convener.
Once completed, the project will play a major role in overcoming persistent water shortage in these areas.
During the review, Justice Masoodi reiterated his commitment to ensuring basic amenities for the people of Pampore, stating that availability of potable water to every household remains a top development priority.
He added that the visit was part of the ongoing development movement in Pampore and aims to give further momentum to the welfare initiatives being executed across the constituency.
The MLA was accompanied by Superintending Engineer Jal Shakti Pulwama/Shopian Er. Nazia Nazir Zahid, Executive Engineer Mechanical South Er. Manzoor Ahmad, AEE Civil/Mechanical Er. Mudasir Untoo & Er. Shafat Ahmad, all AE/JE Civil and Mechanical staff and other concerned officials from the department.
