Bandipora, May 23: Nizamuddin Bhat today visited several hailstorm-affected areas of Bonakoot Block along with the teams from Horticulture and agriculture Departments to assess the extensive damage caused to horticulture and agricultural crops.
During the visit, he interacted with affected farmers and orchardists and took stock of the losses suffered by the farming community due to yesterday’s hailstorm.He assured the affected families that their concerns would be strongly taken up with the concerned departments to ensure timely relief and necessary support.
He also called for an immediate field-level assessment and urged the authorities to speed up the process so that the affected farming community receives adequate compensation and assistance without delay.
