Srinagar, November 12: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of mother of Moulana Fayaz ahmad Shah in Bandipora.
In a statement issued by Mirwaiz on Thursday, Mirwaiz expressed grief over two bereavements — the demise of the respected mother of Maulana Fayaz Ahmad Shah, Secretary to the distinguished scholar and Administrator of Darul Uloom Rahimiya Bandipora, Maulana Rahmatullah Mir Qasmi, and the passing away of the virtuous wife of the late Haji Muhammad Sultan Salati, a long-time well-wisher of the Mirwaiz family and a prominent trader from Firdous Colony, Eidgah, Srinagar.
The Mirwaiz extended his heartfelt condolences to Maulana Fayaz Ahmad Shah and the bereaved family, praying to Almighty Allah to grant them patience and the departed soul a place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus.
In his message of condolence to the Salati family, the Mirwaiz described the deceased as a pious and modest woman.
He conveyed sympathy to her sons — Shafiq Ahmad Salati (former General Secretary, Kashmir Traders Federation), Tahir Jan Salati, and Ashfaq Ahmad Salati — and other members of the family, praying for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
