Mir Murtaza Hussain Sohil Assumes Charge as Additional SP Bandipora

Bandipora, April 07: Mir Murtaza Hussain Sohil (JKPS) has officially taken charge as the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Bandipora. He was accorded a warm welcome by senior police officials on his arrival.

A 2011-batch officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Service, Mir brings over a decade of experience in district policing and law and order management. Prior to his posting in Bandipora, he served as Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Sopore in Baramulla district, where he handled operational and law and order responsibilities.

He has now assumed charge as ASP Bandipora as part of a recent administrative reshuffle in the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Notably, he has earlier served in Bandipora as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), giving him prior familiarity with the district’s policing dynamics.

Senior officers expressed confidence that his experience and leadership will further strengthen policing and public outreach in the district.
