Bandipora, March 11: The Municipal Council Bandipora on Wednesday organised a rally on the occasion of International Women’s Day from the Municipal Council Gate to Nishat Park, witnessing enthusiastic participation from Self Help Group (SHG) members and students from various schools.
An official spokesperson said the rally was held under the theme “Naari Leads Swachhata”, highlighting the pivotal role of women in promoting cleanliness, waste segregation and environmental responsibility within the community.
Participants carried placards and raised awareness slogans, urging citizens to adopt improved sanitation practices and collectively work towards a cleaner and healthier Bandipora.
Officials said the initiative aimed to celebrate the strength, leadership and contribution of women while reinforcing the importance of public participation in sustaining cleanliness and environmental protection efforts across the town.
