New Delhi, July 27: Lovely Professional University (LPU) has announced the commencement of admissions for its UGC-approved Distance and Online Education Programmes for the August 2026 academic session, offering flexible, industry-oriented courses for students and working professionals across the country.
The programmes, offered through the University’s Centre for Distance and Online Education, cover a wide range of disciplines, including Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Commerce, Sciences, Arts, and Library & Information Sciences, at undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma levels.
Under the Distance Education mode, LPU is offering programmes such as MBA, BBA, M.Com., B.Com., DBA, MCA, M.Sc. (IT), BCA, B.Sc. (IT), DCA, B.A., MLIS, BLIS, DLIS, and postgraduate courses in Education, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Punjabi and Sociology.
The Online Education mode includes programmes such as MBA, MCA, M.Sc. (Mathematics), M.Sc. (Economics), M.Com., BBA, BCA, B.A., DBA, DCA, and postgraduate degrees in English, History, Sociology and Political Science.
The University said its programmes have been designed to meet evolving industry requirements, with the MBA offering single and dual specialisations across emerging domains, including Human Resource Management, Finance, Marketing, Data Science, Operations Management, International Business, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Hospital and Healthcare Management, and Banking and Financial Services.
The MCA programme features specialised tracks in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Full Stack Web Development, and AR/VR (Game Development) to prepare students for careers in the digital economy.
Besides academics, students enrolled in the distance and online programmes will have access to selected on-campus events, co-curricular activities and hybrid learning opportunities, enabling them to remain connected with the broader university ecosystem.
LPU highlighted its academic credentials, including NAAC A++ accreditation with a score of 3.68 out of 4, Category-I Graded Autonomy from the University Grants Commission, 31st rank in the NIRF 2025 rankings, 9th among Indian universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, and 31st in India in the QS World University Rankings 2026. The University also noted that its Distance and Online qualifications are recognised internationally by World Education Services (WES), supporting global academic and career opportunities for graduates.
