Hajin, Jan 22: Wildlife authorities on Monday captured a leopard after it attacked and injured a 24-year old govt employee in Hajin town of North Kashmir's Bandipora district.
Fida Hussian ,range officer Bandipora said that , a man was injured by a leopard in the Mir Mohalla locality of Hajin town in Bandipora.
The injured person, Umar Zahoor, son of Zahoor Ahmad Sofi, a govt employee was outdoors near his home when the wild animal attacked him.
Local residents promptly rescued Umar and transported him to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.
Later, Wild Life Team Bandipora alongwith Force Protection Officer K08 Headed by Ranger Officer Wildlife Fida Hussian along with team rushed to the spot and captured the leopard.
Fida Hussain said the leapboard has been shifted to Dachigam National Park.
