Leave of health staff cancelled amid surge in COVID-19 cases in Bandipora

Bandipora, 14 Jan: Amid a sudden spike in coronavirus cases in Jammu and Kashmir, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Bandipora on Friday reviewed the covid situation in Bandipora hospital.

J-K recorded 2456 COVID-19 cases on friday.The leave of all health staff including doctors and paramedics has been cancelled except medical leaves in view of sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in Bandipora district, reads an order issued by Medical superintendent.He impressed upon all the staff members posted at DH Bandipora to remain available 24×7 and will not leave the station without prior permission.
All the government-run hospitals have been kept ready for any eventuality. Although doctors say the cases are increasing, the hospitalization of the patients has still not crossed the danger mark.

The doctors in the Valley say that the number will increase further in the coming days. Health department has canceled all the leaves and winter holidays of health workers across the union territory. 


With rising number of cases, The  Bandipora district administration has swung into action and are checking busy markets and vehicles and asking people to wear masks and maintain social distance.
