Kupwara: In a bid to strengthen the relationship between the public and the police, Kupwara Police on thursday successfully organized a Thana Diwas program at Police Post Awoora. The event was presided over by DySP DAR Kupwara, Gulzar Rashid Magray, SHO Trehgam, Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad, and Incharge Police Post Awoora, Nazir Ahmad. The event saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of respected citizens, former Sarpanchs, and Lamberdars from the region.
During the interactive session, the participants raised various concerns related to civil administration, drug addiction, and civic amenities. Many police-related issues were resolved on the spot, while concerns related to other departments were duly noted and will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for further action.
Addressing the gathering, DySP DAR Gulzar Rashid Magray emphasized the crucial role of public cooperation in maintaining law and order and in identifying anti-social elements. He assured that all grievances would be addressed with the district administration for prompt resolution.
The local community expressed appreciation for the Kupwara Police’s efforts in combating the drug menace and ensuring public safety. DySP DAR Gulzar Rashid Magray reiterated that such community.
