Bandipora, November 08: Kishanganga Power Station Bandipora on Saturday celebrated the 46th Raising Day of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) by organising a Blood Donation Camp and Plantation drive in the district.
The Raising Day ceremony was inaugurated by Ashish Kumar Chouksey, General Manager (HOP) by lighting the lamp along with other senior officials.
On this occasion, the Kishanganga Power Station officials renewed their pledge for serving nation and Jammu Kashmir by providing much needed power in addition to extending helping hand to the local people. In order to demonstrate the commitment of the power station with the local population,a blood donation camp was organized as an innovative step in Kishanganga Power Station to commemorate NHPC Raising Day as per the wishes of Abhay Kumar Singh, CMD NHPC.
Officers and staff including women from the project families participated in the blood donation camp with enthusiasm. Later a plantation drive was undertaken wherein plantation has been done at large scale on the barren area near TRT outlet.
