Kashmir Convener correspondent Suhail Rather bereaved
Bandipora, July 06: The grandfather of Kashmir Convener correspondent Suhail Rather passed away on Saturday evening after a prolonged illness.
Mohammad Akbar Rather breathed his last at his home in Gamroo village of Bandipora. He was 71. Hundreds of people participated in the Nimaz-e-Jinazah. His mortal remains were laid to rest at his ancestral grave yard in Gamroo. The Rasm-e-Chahrum of the deceased would be observed on Tuesday.
Kashmir Convener family expressed grief over the death and offered condolence with Suhail Rather. In this connection a condolence meeting was held at Kashmir Convener office and was attended by all staff members including several other journalists. They expressed condolence with the bereaved family and also offered Fateh for the departed soul.
Meanwhile several Bandipora press association condoled the sad demise of Kashmir Convener correspondent Suhail Rather’s grandfather.
In a statement, spokesperson Bandipora Press Association said that a condolence meeting was held at the office wherein the participants prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
”The members also prayed to the Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.”
Senior PDP leader Nizam-ud-Din Bhat also expressed condolence with the bereaved family. In a tweet he said he is ddeply saddened to hear about the demise of Suhail Rather’s grandfather. “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Mohammad Akbar Rather, grandfather of @SuhailRathoreKC (of Gamroo). Prayers to the departed soul and may Almighty give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. #RIP”.
State General Secretary JKPCC and former MLA Bandipora Usman Majid expressed grief over the demise of Grandfather of Kashmir Convener Correspondent Suhail Rather.
While expressing his sympathy with the bereaved family, the Ex-Legislator prayed for eternal peace to departed soul and grant courage to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Usman Majid said, he & his party equally share this grief. Contractors’ Association Bandipora also expressed condolence with the bereaved family.
Meanwhile Civil Society Forum Ajas also condoled demise of Kashmir Convener Correspondent Suhail Rather's grandfather. Paying rich tributes, Chairman KM Kamal expressed deep shock over the sad demise of Mr Mohd Akbar Rather and described him as a great personality who was liked by one and all because of his humbleness. KM Kamal expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family members and prayed almighty to give them courage to bear this irreparable loss and also prayed for peace to the departed soul beside a place for him in Jannat.
