Srinagar, Feb 20: The Kashmir Advocate's Association Tuesday observed the World Day of Social Justice in central Kashmir's Srinagar district.
According to a statement, the event brought together legal luminaries and activists in a united effort to address systemic inequalities and foster inclusive practices. The chief guest for the function Was Additional Advocate General Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Srinagar Wing Abdul Rashid Malik who Advocated for advancing social justice and ensuring equal access to legal remedies for all individuals.
“Many Advocates spoke on the occasion and echoed the collective determination to uphold the principles of fairness and equality” it said.
It also said that the event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and reflection, highlighting the imperative of collective action in addressing the multifaceted challenges hindering the realisation of social justice in our society. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to advocating for fairness, equality, and inclusivity through concerted efforts and advocacy, it added.
“Following the insightful discussions, the program included the distribution of Certificates of Appreciation among the participants, acknowledging their dedication to the cause of social justice and their valuable contributions to the event,” the statement added.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks extended on behalf of the Kashmir Advocate's Association by its General Secretary Advocate S. Jeetender Singh. His words of gratitude encapsulated the spirit of collaboration and shared commitment that characterised the event, reaffirming the Association's dedication to advancing social justice in the region, it said.
