Judicial Employees Welfare Association elects Iftikhar Hussain Dar as President

Massive Participation, Cordial Atmosphere Mark the Election Process

Srinagar, June 23: Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JEWA) Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh this week conducted elections of the association and elected elects Iftikhar Hussain Dar as President as the president of its association.

          An official spokesperson of the organization said the election for JEWA in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh was conducted on Tuesday while the event witnessed an overwhelming response from the general membership across the provinces of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, with participants canceling their holiday arrangements to exercise their right to vote.

The elected office bearers include Iftikhar Hussain Dar elected as President, Sudershan Singh as General Secretary, Ranjit Parihar as Senior Vice-President, Ajaz Ahmad Dar as Vice President, Zahoor Jan Mir as Organiser, Anchal Rakwal as Publicity Secretary (unopposed) and Tariq Ahmad Malik as Cordinator.

          Spokesperson said under the vigilant supervision of two esteemed Chief Election Commissioners, Bilal Ahmad Shah Ret (CAO) from the Kashmir Division and Manga Ram Parihar, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, the election proceedings took place at the District Court Complex in Moominabad, Batamaloo.

The smooth conduct of the elections was further ensured by the appointment of six impartial observers, three each from Jammu and Kashmir provinces.

          He said the atmosphere throughout the election process remained cordial and congenial, thanks to the active participation and patience displayed by the members.

“The commitment and dedication exhibited by the participants deserve special acknowledgment, as their mass participation highlighted the significance of the election”.

          He said the results of the election have brought forth a competent team of office bearers who will represent the interests of the Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JEWA) in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Expressing gratitude for the successful execution of the elections, appreciation is extended to the District Administration Srinagar, the Chief Administrative Officer Srinagar Molvi Muzaffar Hussain, and the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar Jawad Ahmad for their valuable support.

Special recognition is also reserved for the provincial presidents of Jammu and Kashmir, Khursheed Ahmad Trali and Pooran Singh, whose contributions were instrumental in the smooth conduct of the elections.

“Additionally, sincere thanks are extended to the election observers, committee members, and particularly District President Srinagar Khalid Shahnaz Mir, who devoted their time and support to ensure the grand success of the election process”.

          Spokesperon further stated that the successful election for the Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JEWA) signifies a new chapter in empowering and addressing the needs of judicial employees in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. “With dedicated office bearers at the helm, the association is poised to work diligently towards the welfare and betterment of its members.”
