Joint intelligence conference in Bandipora discusses trends, methodologies used for intelligence gathering, conduct of operations

Bandipora, Jan 11:  The joint intelligence and operational conference organised by Indian Army on Wednesday in Bandipora discussed the modern trends and methodologies used for intelligence gathering and conduct of anti-terrorism operations.

          According to an official statement the joint intelligence and operational conference was held by 3-Sector Rashtriya Rifles at Battalion Headquarters in Sonarwani Bandipora.

According to an official handout released by army, the joint conference of various stake holders was held to have a seamless and symbiotic integration of various security agencies in terms of information sharing in order to produce actionable intelligence for conduct of operations.

“All participating agencies shared and jointly reviewed the latest operational and intelligence picture of Bandipora District,” army said in the statement.    

The conference also discussed various measures to improve coordination and synergy in conduct of counter terrorism operations. “Various upcoming trends and methodologies used by security agencies for intelligence gathering and conduct of operations were also discussed,” they said.

Army said all stakeholders appreciated the relentless operations being conducted by various security agencies in their respective domains to ensure peace and stability in Bandipora District.

The conference was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora, Lakshay Sharma, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Border Security Force stationed in Bandipora, DIG, CRPF Baramulla, Commanding Officer 13-RR, Commanding Officer 14-RR, Commanding Officer 26 RR, Commandant 3rd Battalion CRPF, Commandant CISF KHPP, Assistant Director IB Bandipora, Dy SP CID Bandipora, Second-in Comand K-2 Adhoc BSF Battalion, Commandant 14th Battalion BSF and Deputy Commandant (G), SHQ, BSF Bandipora.
