Bandipora, Feb 09: Joint Director Education (North), Rouf Rehman Thursday reviewed the performance of Education Sector of District Bandipora at Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora.
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Ab. Majid Malik, Dy. Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Rafiq Parrey, all Principals, Zonal Education Officers, Head of Institutions and other trade union leaders of Bandipora
On the occassion the CEO Bandipora presented the welcome address and apprised the Joint Director about the functioning of Education Department in the district through a brief power point presentation.
The JD reviewed the academic and infrastructural developments of the district. He also took stock of implementation of various state and centrally sponsored schemes of education department.
He held a detailed reviewed of government initiatives being implemented in the district like Mid Day Meals, Free Uniforms, Text Books, Smart Classes, ICT, CAL centres, Kindergartens, Scholarships, Out of School children etc.
Mr. Rouf while addressing the gathering said, "Teachers shall take Pride in their jobs. They are the builders of nation and the Social Engineers". He stressed that the great challange before all the Officers & officials of Education Department is the implementation of New Educational Policy (NEP).
The trade union leaders welcomed Mr. Rouf for assuming the charge of JD as the said post was lying vacant since long. They appreciated the working of worthy JD and expressed their full support for the upliftment of Education scenario of Bandipora.
The trade union leaders called upon the chair for redressal of various problems being faced by the fraternity.
The trade union leaders among the speakers are include Dr. Ali Muhammad Nishter, Malik Fayaz, Syed Sajad, Khalid Rafiq, Zahoor Ahmad, Gh. Nabi Chopan and others.
