JKTF Welcomes Appointment of New CEO Bandipora

Bandipora, Jan 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) has welcomed the government’s decision to appoint Balbir Kumar as the new Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora, expressing hope that the move will strengthen the administrative and academic functioning of the education sector in the district.
In a statement, the Forum spokesperson said that Bandipora, given its geographical spread and educational challenges, requires focused and effective leadership to address issues related to infrastructure, staffing and overall academic performance.
JKTF said it was optimistic that the new CEO would work towards improving governance and coordination within the education department.
Chief Spokesperson JKTF, Anjum Nisar, said the appointment had generated expectations among the teaching community.
He added that teachers hoped for constructive reforms, better coordination and a transparent work culture in the education sector under the new leadership.
The Forum also expressed hope that attention would be given to long-pending issues affecting schools in far-flung and remote areas, staff shortages and institutional functioning.
It said that dialogue and coordination between the department and stakeholders, including teachers and heads of institutions, were essential for improving learning outcomes.
JKTF said it would extend cooperation to the education department in initiatives aimed at improving school education and student welfare in the district.
