Bandipora, Dec 16: The Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Bandipora, has welcomed and appreciated the interactive session held by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Ms. Indu Kanwal Chib, with teachers from all educational zones of the district at the Mini Secretariat here on Tuesday.

In a statement issued by its Chief Spokesperson Anjum Nisar, JKTF said the interaction reflected a much-needed and refreshing administrative approach towards addressing core academic issues.

The Forum noted that the Deputy Commissioner’s emphasis that “evaluation is the key and results are only a parameter” underlined the importance of genuine learning outcomes, quality teaching and continuous academic assessment, rather than a narrow focus on superficial performance indicators.

JKTF observed that the Deputy Commissioner clearly called upon the teaching fraternity to lead the change by working with dedication, discipline and sincerity to improve literacy levels and overall educational standards in Bandipora. “Her assurance of full administrative support for initiatives aimed at strengthening academics and educational infrastructure was described as a positive and encouraging signal for teachers across the district”.

The Forum particularly welcomed the Deputy Commissioner’s firm stand against favouritism, noting her categorical statement that she would neither facilitate nor encourage teachers who frequent offices for personal gains or undue favours. Instead, she assured wholehearted appreciation and support for those teachers who perform their duties sincerely and with full dedication inside classrooms.

JKTF said this principled stand promotes a culture of merit, transparency and accountability in the education system.

According to the Forum, teachers across Bandipora have welcomed this clear message, stating that it has significantly boosted the morale of hardworking and committed educators who have often felt demoralized by the prevalence of recommendation culture and office-centric practices. The assurance that sincere work at the grassroots level will be recognised has instilled renewed confidence and motivation among teachers, JKTF added.

The Forum further noted that teachers who participated in the interaction shared valuable suggestions related to academic improvement, infrastructure gaps and teaching-learning challenges, reflecting a constructive and healthy dialogue between the administration and the teaching community.
