JKReTTF Extends Full Support to October 16 EJAC Convention Led by Wajahat Hussain Durrani
Srinagar, October 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) has extended full support to the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) convention scheduled for October 16 under the leadership of Mr. Wajahat Hussain Durrani, being organised in solidarity with daily wagers and casual labourers across Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued to the media, JKReTTF Chairman Khalid Rafeeq Bhat said the upcoming convention at Sher-i-Kashmir Park, Srinagar, serves as a wake-up call for the government to fulfill its long-pending promises to thousands of dedicated daily wagers and casual labourers who continue to serve the system despite prolonged hardships. He stressed that the time has come for the government to recognise their contribution and ensure their regularisation and job security.
Bhat appealed to all sections of the employee fraternity to participate in large numbers in the historic and peaceful convention to demonstrate unity, solidarity, and collective strength.
“The leadership of the Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum stands shoulder to shoulder with our brothers in this testing time. Their struggle is our struggle, and we will continue to support and fight for their genuine cause until justice is delivered,” he said.
The JKReTTF Chairman also lauded the EJAC leadership, particularly Mr. Wajahat Hussain Durrani, for his consistent efforts in raising the voice of underprivileged workers and uniting employees under a common platform.
Reiterating its commitment to stand with all employee associations working for the welfare of the workforce, JKReTTF urged the government to act promptly and compassionately to resolve the issues faced by daily wagers and casual labourers.
