JKGLTF hail decision of Rajasthan Govt for reverting to Old Pension Scheme
Srinagar, February 24: Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF) today Congratulated State Government of Rajasthan for setting up a milestone and reverting the Old Pension Scheme in place of New Pension Scheme.
In a Statment issued today, spokesperson of the organization Nazir Ahmad Wani hailed the decision of Rajasthan to give benefit of Old age pension to the retired employees of the state Government.
He said the forum hails the decision of Ashok Gehlot Ji who has boldly challenged the discriminatory scheme and abolished it for the Employees good and welfare. He said the forum also hails the employees of the state and its unions who have constantly been devoted to the cause of reverting Old Pension Scheme(OPS). "The results are the fruits of their constant hardwork, dedication, devotion and constancy to the cause," He added.
The Govt of Rajasthan has set up a roadmap for other States and Union Territories to revert back Old Pension Scheme and shun the discrimination meted to the employees appointed after 1st January 2004.
The decision by Rajasthan Govt has further strengthened the voice of JKGLTF to demand such a roll back of OPS in UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The forum has expressed deep desire that the Honorable LG of UT of J&K would initiate such a step in J&K and fulfill the long pending demand of JKGLTF.
