JKGLTF Delegation Meets CEO Pulwama, Raises Staff Shortage and Infrastructure Concerns

Pulwama, May 2: A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF), Pulwama, on Saturday held a detailed meeting with the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Pulwama at the CEO Office to discuss pressing issues affecting the education sector in the district.

During the meeting, the delegation of highlighted several key concerns, particularly the acute shortage of teaching staff in multiple schools. The members stressed that the lack of adequate teachers is adversely impacting the quality of education and urged the administration to take immediate corrective measures.

The forum also raised issues related to infrastructure gaps, staff rationalization, and the need for timely redressal of academic and administrative challenges faced by teachers.

The Chief Education Officer gave a patient hearing to the concerns and assured the delegation that genuine issues would be taken up with higher authorities for prompt resolution.

The meeting was attended by prominent forum representatives, including Provincial President Gowhar Ahmad Bhat, District Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger, District Spokesperson Syed Mukhtar, Zonal President Shadimarg Shah Imtiyaz, Vice Zonal President Shadimarg Muzafar Rasool, Zonal President Tahab Rayees Ahmad, and District Organiser Bilal Ahmad Bhat.

The JKGLTF Pulwama expressed hope that the issues raised would be addressed at the earliest in the larger interest of students and the overall education system in the district.
