J&K Police ask homestay owners to follow verification norms

Srinagar, Jan 09:The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday issued an advisory asking homeowners and homestay operators to follow mandatory verification and record-keeping norms in the interest of security.

 

The advisory, issued by the Range Police Headquarters, Baramulla, said homestay owners should inform the local police about their establishments and share details of guests as prescribed. It also asked them to maintain mandatory records and exercise caution before handing over accommodation keys.

 

The police said the measures are aimed at preventing misuse of residential premises and ensuring safety of residents and visitors.
