Jaan Nissar Lone Celebrates Birthday, Calls for Global Peace, Cultural Unity and Love for Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 5: Renowned music composer, singer, and Global President of the BRICS Culture Media Forum (BCMF), Dr. Jaan Nissar Lone celebrated his birthday on Saturday, sharing his message of peace, unity, and cultural harmony.

Coinciding with the birthday of Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic, Dr. Lone said he draws deep admiration from Kadyrov’s “patriotism, courage, and loyalty to his land.”

“I am a huge admirer of Ramzan Kadyrov for his love for his land and his nation. He is a symbol of loyalty and courage, and he represents what it means to put your country above everything else,” he said.

Dr. Lone, who is also the Founder and Chairman of ARMS Record Label, recently represented India as an official jury member and co-organiser at the Intervision 2025 International Song Contest in Moscow — a historic first for any Indian company.

“Being part of Intervision 2025 was not just a professional milestone, it was a moment of pride for India. It shows that India’s cultural voice is powerful and respected globally,” he said.

As Global President of BCMF, Dr. Lone has been instrumental in fostering cultural collaborations among BRICS Plus nations, using art and music as tools of diplomacy and peacebuilding.

A devoted admirer of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dr. Lone said he considers October 7 — Putin’s birthday, also his wife’s — a symbolic day of strength and compassion.

“Two important people in my life were born on the same day, and both represent resilience and humanity,” he said.

Recollecting his visits to Chechnya and the Caucasus region, Dr. Lone said he was struck by the similarities between their people and those of Kashmir.

“The people of Chechnya and Dagestan look, live, and love like us. You can hardly tell the difference between a Kashmiri and someone from the Caucasus,” he said. “We are all children of God, connected by love and humanity.”

A proud son of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Lone continues to represent his homeland on global stages through his soulful music. His songs often capture the emotions and resilience of the Valley.

“I live for Kashmir and my people,” he said. “Peace will only come when we show love. I wish to see Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh united again — diversity should be our strength, not our division.”

On his birthday, Dr. Lone’s message resonated beyond borders — a call for a world led by compassion rather than conflict.

“If some superpowers destroy this planet, where will humanity go?” he asked. “We must protect this beautiful world and pass it on to future generations with love and positivity.”
