IRP-23rd Battalion Inaugurates Boundary Wall at GMS Lethpora

Pampore, March 28: The IRP-23rd Battalion on Saturday inaugurated a newly constructed boundary wall with fencing at Government Middle School Lethpora under the Civic Action Programme (CAP).

The project was formally inaugurated by Baqar Samoon (IPS), SSP and Commandant IRP-23rd Battalion Lethpora, in the presence of the Deputy Commandant, teaching staff of the school and other officials.

The boundary wall has been constructed to strengthen infrastructure and enhance safety and security at the school. Officials said the initiative is part of CAP activities aimed at improving public infrastructure and strengthening police-community relations.

Addressing the gathering, Baqar Samoon highlighted the importance of community-oriented initiatives and reiterated the police department’s commitment towards public welfare and development, particularly in the education sector. He said such projects help build trust and cooperation between the police and the public.

The Deputy Commandant of IRP-23rd Battalion also emphasised the importance of education and the need for sustained engagement between the police and the community.

Zonal Education Officer Pampore, Shahnaz Ahmad Malik, expressed gratitude to the Commandant for supporting the initiative, stating that the project would enhance safety and institutional management at the school.

Headmaster Shabir Ahmad delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the teaching staff and acknowledged the battalion’s role in executing the project.

Officers and personnel of IRP-23rd Battalion, local residents and parents of students were present at the inauguration. The event concluded with appreciation for the completion of the project under the Civic Action Programme.
