Bandipora, February 11: Indian Army stationed at snowbound Kanzalwan village in Gurez near Line of Control on Friday organised different activities with local students to celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science
An official said a lecture on all the Government schemes related to girls education was promulgated to the girls by Miss Sameena Gul student of Kanzalwan High School.
Discussions on women and girls contribution worldwide in science and technology along with locals contribution towards a progressive Kanzalwan society were discussed during the event. Moreover, a leaflet carrying all prominent contributions by prominent women of the world in the field of science and technology was distributed.
Local women along with girls welcomed this forum which provided them a platform to discuss the advancement of science and technology worldwide and their contribution for developing a secure and progressive society. They conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Army at Kanzalwan for the gesture and promised to carry forward the thought into the future.
