Indian Army State of the Art School Infrastructure To Pinewood School, Hamirpur

Poonch, Jul 31: The Indian Army, in collaboration with leading corporate groups under CSR initiatives, formally dedicated a state-of-the-art auditorium and other educational infrastructure to Pinewood School in Hamirpur, located near the Line of Control in Poonch district.
Defence Spokesperson in Jammu Lieutenant Colonel Suneel Bartwal told Kashmir Convener that as part of its ongoing commitment to nation building and community outreach, the Indian Army in collaboration with Adani Foundation, J&K Bank, JSW Group & Allen Institute formally dedicated the modern infrastructure to the School.
He said the infrastructure included a state of art Auditorium with seating capacity of 510 at Pinewood School, Hamirpur to the local population focusing on modern & quality infrastructure for education of children residing in remote locations near Line of Control.
The auditorium was inaugurated by GOC, Ace of Spades Division in the presence of corporate representatives, senior Army officers, officials from the civil administration, local sarpanches, parents & students.
The construction of the Auditorium by Adani Foundation, offers dedicated space for cultural and academic activities for the students of PWS, Hamirpur.
The event also marked provisioning of one school bus by J&K Bank and two school buses by JSW Group aimed at improving student accessibility and daily school commute.
The buses were handed over by respective corporate representatives to the school administration.
Spokesperson said to ensure future of children in senior classes, Indian Army collaborated with Allen Coaching Institute, Kota who have graciously adopted students from class IX to XII to provide them quality education & coaching for competitive examination such as NEET.
The coaching is being imparted through online mode at Pinewood School, Hamirpur free of cost.
Lt Colonel Bartwal said the Indian Army’s deep commitment to holistic development of our border regions was witnessed in its proactive engagement with various corporate houses to bring these projects under CSR initiative.
“This collaboration between Indian Army & Corporate entities is a prime example of PPP model, wherein both Indian Army & Private Sectors have pitched in developing remote areas close to Line of Control,” he added.
Today’s inauguration was in continuation to many infrastructure upgrades to classrooms and facilities, aimed at enhancing the quality of education being carried out by Indian Army at Pinewood School, Hamirpur.
According to Spokesperson a Sapling Plantation Drive, was also organized on the school campus with participation from students, Army personnel, corporate representatives and local community members, reinforcing the importance of environment stewardship.
He said the event was well received by the local populace & witnessed enthusiastic participation from all sections of society with parents and sarpanches expressing appreciation for the Indian Army’s efforts in uplifting educational standards in remote areas.
The cultural programme by the students was the highlight of the event displaying their talent & quality of education being imparted to the students. The corporate representatives were felicitated by GOC, Ace of Spades Division on behalf of Indian Army for their unwavering commitment to development of school infrastructure.
The students enthusiastically participated during the inauguration ceremony and the plantation drive. This initiative exemplified a strong military corporate partnership, delivering impactful results in education system in the region.
“The projects not only have improved the infrastructure at the school but is a defining factor in motivating young minds residing in remote areas to pursue formal education & dream of a bright future,” reads the statement issued by the defence spokesperson.
