Indian Army Organized an Agricultural Training Course for Women at Patnazi
Kishtwar, Mar 06: The Indian Army, in collaboration with the Agricultural Department, launched a pioneering Agricultural Training Course exclusively for ladies at Patnazi, Kishtwar District.
An official spokesperson said this initiative aims to empower women in rural areas by imparting knowledge and skills in modern agricultural practices.
The training was conducted by the Indian Army and Department of Agriculture, Kishtwar. The training program covers a range of topics that includes Sustainable Farming Practices which focuses on organic farming, soil conservation, efficient water management and crop management that emphasize hands-on training on crop selection, planting and harvesting.
He said the course is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to enhance agricultural productivity, improve food security and increase their income.
The training is being conducted by experienced instructors from the Agricultural Department, with support from the Indian Army. This initiative taken up by Indian Army is a testament to our commitment in supporting rural development and women empowerment. The training program has received an overwhelming response with 70 women and 65 locals participating from nearby villages of Patnazi. The participants have been provided with a variety of seasonal seeds to encourage and empower them.
