Indian Army Organises Iftar Party, Medical Camp in Shopian Villages

Shopian, March 06: Indian Army on Friday organised an Iftar party for the residents of Chitragam Kalan village of Shopian district.

 An official spokesperson said the event aimed at strengthening communal harmony and social unity besides spreading a strong message of brotherhood, peace and inclusiveness among the local population.

 The event witnessed participation from people belonging to different backgrounds, who gathered together to break their fast and share a moment of togetherness, reflecting the true spirit of harmony during the holy month of Ramadan.

 Prior to the Iftar gathering, a special medical camp was organized primarily for women, where medical consultations and basic healthcare services were provided. The initiative aimed to address healthcare needs of women and encourage greater awareness about health and well-being.

 Local residents appreciated the effort, stating that such events help in building stronger bonds within society. “This is one of the best ways to spread the message of brotherhood and peace,” a local resident said.

Another participant added that people gathered at the event irrespective of caste, color or religion, which reflects the essence of unity and coexistence.

 Women attending the medical camp also expressed gratitude for the initiative. One woman said that organizing such camps is the need of the hour, especially for women who often have limited access to healthcare facilities.

The medical camp and Iftar gathering were organized by 44 RR Imam sahib, and the initiative was widely appreciated by locals for promoting social harmony, community bonding and women empowerment in the region.
